These classic book literature courses are also offered al a carte for $20 upon request. You are welcome to register for individual books or only one semester. However, the concepts will build and grow in complexity by the second semester. Students who have taken my middle school level literature courses in the past should be able to jump in at any time. I do recommend attending the end of the previous class meeting or view the video recording.

This class meets biweekly. Our new student orientation (TBD) will be a shorter class, but new students won't want to miss it. We will tour Canvas and discuss the literary concepts needed for the first book.

This course is hosted by Canvas. The name and email you provide at checkout will be used to create your student’s Canvas profile. You will access the live class each week either by the email invitation or by logging in and clicking on “Conferences” then selecting the new conference, which should be available by about 10 minutes before class time. Classes will be recorded and the recording can be accessed in “Conferences” in the afternoon on class day and will be available for a week.

All coursework will be posted in Canvas. On average, students should expect to spend about 30 minutes reading their assigned literature per school day. The written worksheets can be done as students read (recommended) or the day before class. Students should have their filled-out worksheets with them during class in order to participate. Any blanks they may have, due to not grasping the material yet, can be filled in during or after class. Students will receive a grade for discussion participation.

Discounts: Families with multiple students will receive a 50% discount on tuition for subsequent registered siblings. Also, a referral credit of $20 will be awarded to any family who refers another registered student/family.

Payments: This course can be paid in two semester payments of $130. First payment of $130 must be made by 8/18/2026.
