Youth Entrepreneurship

Throughout this interactive 8-week course instructed by Mr. Mick Sweeney, AS Business Administration, students will participate in discussions, creative exercises, entrepreneurial activities, and project-based learning designed to help them think critically and communicate effectively while developing real-world leadership skills. By the end of the course, students will create and present their own business concept while gaining valuable experience in planning, branding, communication, and public speaking. This course is non-secretarian and therefore eligible to be paid with charter school funds.

 
Level

This course is appropriate for middle school and early high school students, approximately grades 5th–9th.

No prior business experience is required.

 

Curriculum

Your student will:

  • Build leadership confidence
  • Learn foundational business concepts
  • Strengthen communication skills
  • Practice creativity and innovation
  • Explore branding and marketing
  • Learn basic financial literacy
  • Learn goal setting and planning
  • Gain experience in presenting ideas clearly and confidently

 

Meeting Schedule
